Summer is the time for vegetation and greens to flourish, and that rings especially true for cannabis lovers itching to enjoy a smoke on the patio.
In similar fashion, Toronto is preparing for its first summer of legalization, and with it comes a wave of cannabis-themed events happening all over the city.
Keep these dates free on your calendar this month!
When: June 6 to 9, various times
Where: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, 255 Front St.
This cannabis expo includes a hodge-podge of things to do, from more serious business conferences to fun, consumer-facing vendor villages. All the latest in the cannabis industry will be on display through cannabis culture leaders expected to drop by.
When: June 8, 8:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m.
Where: East End Toronto (announced June 7)
Hosted by Matty’s Pattys, the sponsors promise “Dope things with DOPE people.”
So, expect nothing less than comedy, cannabis, dance-offs, chef-curated bites, and more in a 420-friendly theatre located in Toronto’s east end. Note that you can’t by cannabis here, but you’re free to bring your own favourite flowers. Tickets are $15 to $25 for this +19 event.
When: June 18, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Where: Toronto Public Library – Northern District Branch, 40 Orchard View Blvd.
Internationally-acclaimed forensic toxicologist, author, and expert witness James Wigmore dives into the history of cannabis and alcohol in this special presentation. Learn about different strains, the risks of cannabis consumption, and how cannabis isn’t what it was in the ’60’s.

Don’t miss Toronto’s inaugural “POTio” at Toronto’s annual Craft Beer Fest. As always, this is a celebration of independent craft brewers and cider-makers, alongside great eats, live music, and for the first time ever, a dedicated space for legal cannabis consumption.
