CBD COFFEE BROWNIES
What’s better than indulging in a warm decadent brownie?
Brownies are often a go-to for those who like their THC edibles in the form of a baked good. With this in mind, we put our own spin on the ‘weed brownie’ and came up with a delicious, fudgy, CBD brownie. Rather, you can enjoy the positive effects of CBD instead of the effect of THC. This recipe is really great because it’s incredibly simple, gives you a little caffeine kick, and also your daily dose of CBD. Be sure to label your pan and note that it contains CBD so your family is aware. It’s pretty difficult for anyone to resist a pan of brownies…especially if they are still warm.
Our secret for this recipe? We use box brownie mix!
Here is what you need and what you need to do to bake them:
A box of brownie mix (the brand doesn’t matter – it’s a personal preference)
Follow the directions on the box, but make the following adjustments:
- Add 2 tablespoons of instant coffee for extra flavour
- Replace the water measurements for cold brewed CBD Fusion Coffee (whichever blend you prefer)
- Add one additional egg yolk
- And we also like to add a pinch of sea salt
Super simple!
Baking With CBD
We often get questions about cooking/baking with CBD and its potency after being in the oven. In an effort to not overheat your CBD, it’s recommended to never go above 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To bake brownies, your oven would be set at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are still concerned about the CBD’s potency, you can also add a few drops of our CBD oil to your brownie serving after it has been baked. For this recipe we recommend the French Vanilla Broad Spectrum CBD Oil. If you’re planning on adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream with this treat, you can also add a drop of this oil to your ice cream.
